Leamington Spa’s Jephson Gardens gained prominence for its entertainments; military bands, promenading, croquet and tennis, fountains, illuminations, trees and flowers The gardens are currently Grade II listed on the English Heritage register of historic parks and gardens. It now plays host to the Restaurant in the Park and the Temperate House full of magnificent tropical plants. Redcliffe Catering offer Jephson Gardens as a stunning backdrop for wedding photographs taken after a Civil Wedding Ceremony held in one of the many superb venues in and around the Royal Pump Rooms
As with many parks, Jephson Gardens fell into slow decline after World War II but since 1999 have been restored and renewed by Warwick District Council thanks to a grant of in excess of £3 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund. This delightful Victorian oasis now houses a stunning sub-tropical glasshouse, restaurant and teaching studio – the jewel in the crown of Leamington Spa’s wealth of parks and gardens.
Jephson Gardens was voted "Best Park in Britain 2004" by the Royal Horticultural Society. In 2006/7 the gardens won a Green Flag award. They won again in 2007/8 as well as being voted a Green Heritage Site by English Heritage, becoming one of a prestigious group of 31 parks in the country to do so. There are also a number of Grade II listed buildings in the gardens.
